Fight Depression

With God by our side, we can conquer all things.

Romans 8:31-39 If God is for us, who can be against us!

Defeat is not an option. Choose life. As Christ said, “Choose to be a conqueror.” Know that with Christ you can do all things. Be positive in your thinking. Don’t let the negativity of life bring defeat. Don’t allow your negative thoughts to rule your life. Self-pity is not of GOD. He wants us to live a life full of Joy. Seek Him first in all things.

For so long I allowed depression, self-doubt, self-pity, jealousy, and envy to bring me down. I allowed it to destroy my life, but when I found GOD, He said,

I am all you need. Lean on me and “choose LIFE!”(Deuteronomy 30:19)

His word says choose life! I remember being so exhausted I wanted to give up the fight; it was in that moment that I was ready to truly surrender all! It was not easy at first, but once I surrendered, I found more peace, joy, and freedom. If we do not open our hearts, minds, ears, and eyes, then we cannot hear from GOD and choose life!

Talk to your mind and tell it how it’s going to think! Talk to your soul and tell it how it’s going to act. In Psalm 103, David talks to his soul…Bless the LORD, oh my Soul!

Know the benefits GOD has for us. We have been delivered from our transgressions, healed from all disease, and redeemed from destruction by Him, who crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies.

We have a choice to stay depressed, stay in the negativity of our thoughts, and feel defeated. Or we can choose GOD and seek His word and power for our lives. Sometimes we might have to seek a professional doctor or therapist for a season; I did, but now I know that was part of God’s plan for my healing.

Negative thoughts can be paralyzing if we let them. Don’t let your mind and emotions get the best of you. God can restore all things if we BELIEVE. No one said it would be easy, and it hasn’t been for me, but oh how freeing when the FREEDOM of bondage comes.

God so wants to heal us. His word says we are to open our hearts and minds to hear and know His word and its truth. If we don’t, it means nothing to us.

Matthew 13:13-19

Seek God in prayer and He will heal your depression with joy, your fear with faith, and your anxiety with peace.

Blessings,

Jill
