Rewrite Your Story!

I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Its been a busy summer with kids and all and have missed blogging.

In May I was blessed to attend a Women of Faith Conference which was amazing. I have been going for the past 14 years and every year I take away with me something precious. This last one I attended, one of the speakers talked about What is your story? What are the old tapes that play in your head? What are the negative thoughts that keep you bond to shame and guilt? I am not worthy, I am not loved, I am not beautiful, I am not thin enough, I am not smart…the list goes on an on.

I have felt those things and more but what God has shown me is that I am worthy, I am beautiful and I am Loved so very much. I am a child of God! I don’t have to carry those images or thoughts with me any more. I can release them and give them to God. It took many years of crying out to the Lord to change these thoughts, rebuking them daily, it was exhausting!

I can tell you now that today I walk in his love and light. I walk in his presence and when those thoughts come I replace them with loving thoughts of myself. I don’t have to believe the lies anymore that the enemy tries to feed me. For so many years I suffered with negative thoughts about my self, my life that took me to dark places. He wants us in bondage which will keep us distant from God. Refuse to be defeated in any way. Shout out I am a child of God and will not listen to the lies anymore! Take a stand and start loving yourself for who God created you to be. Trust me I know how hard it can be its taken me 48 years to really start embracing and loving myself unconditionally. You can to start today and give it to God.

So you ask how do I rewrite my story ?  The speaker mentioned to write your new story of what your hearts desires are of your self and your life. Pray and ask God he will give you the vision. Know that we are children of God and were bought for a price. He loves us so that he chose us. He gave his life so that we can live. So lets start living and believing who we really are!

Scripture readings: John 3:16, Dueteronomy 6:5, Psalm 39:7, Isaiah 43;18-19

Many Blessings,

Jill

Can’t believe that I ha2&ve#8n17;t found your website earlier than this. So far, I’ve read through 7 articles and have found them all to be original. I’d like to personally say thanks. I pray that you can continue writing excellent posts. I’ve bookmarked this post for later reading and added your feed to my list. Thanks.
