Make a Decision In Love

Why do we find it hard to change or surrender our hearts and give our life to God? Is it because of Fear or lack of Trust? Why do we surrender?  When you can admit that you are not in control it allows you to surrender your heart and mind to God. God is Love and He loved us so that He gave His Son to die for us so that we may have life. He demonstrated this love for us while we were still sinners by giving His Sons life. (Romans 5:8) He doesn’t need anything from you He is all-sufficient, but He wants and longs for our love and affection, which is demonstrated in obedience to Him as we surrender our will to His will. He desires our hearts and a relationship with Him. He calls us to come as we are dirty and all. He is not looking for perfection only your love and desire for Him.

When you surrender your hearts, mind and soul to Him it will bring His love into a hurting heart or confused mind.  Is it an easy task? At times NO, but when we chose to surrender and give our hearts to Him we invite His love into our lives. When we can walk in His love we are not walking in the ways of this world, but rather walking in obedience to the ways of God.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him. (1 John 4:16)

Do not allow the enemy and His lies to keep you from surrendering and giving all of you to the Lord. The enemy is a liar and a very good one, but his goal is to destroy you.  God’s goal is to give you a full and abundant life in Christ. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires to be made new. (Ephesians 4:22-23)

God is a good good Father who loves us deeply and unconditionally and demonstrated this by sending His Son to pay the price for our sins and rescue us from death and destruction, even when we were rebelling against Him and hating Him! Our heavenly Father stands with His arms wide open and invites us in.

I would love to hear your answers to these questions and pray in any way I c you.

  • How will you respond to the Father’s invitation of love?
  • What lies might you believe that are keeping you from surrendering to the Lord and His invitation to come into His family?
  • What prevents you from giving your heart and surrendering to the Lord?
  • What is one thing that you have not surrendered?
  • What will it take to give your heart to Him and let Him fill the empty places in it?

Blessings,

Jill
