Dear Lord,

I thank you for the pain and the heartache. I thank you that through it all I have found a deeper relationship with you. Bring me closer, Lord! Restore my heart! Teach me your ways and help me to love you with all my heart, soul, and mind.

The Lord’s greatest commandment is:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37

 

I am learning, Lord, that my peace, joy, and contentment are not found in this world, nor in my kids, my husband, my job, my friends, nor my possessions. They are only found in you!

Life is not the absence of pain and suffering. It’s the presence of God’s glory.

 

Are you ready to give all your heart to the Lord? Are you searching to find your joy and peace? Is your heart breaking today? If so, pray this prayer and let God have all your heart! I have found it’s one thing to love with your mind and another to love with your heart.

And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. Deuteronomy 30:6
